We are
so pleased to hear how happy the families are when they are
finally DRY!
Everyday we hear comments such as:
- "Wow! Life is sure different around our house. It's
wonderful!!"
- "I now wash sheets because they are dirty, NOT because
they are wet"
- "Thank you for helping Megan become dry. We gave her a
new bicycle to celebrate her success."
We would be
pleased to work with you to dry out your enuretic child and
restore the happiness in your family.
Dear Jennie,
I am very
happy because a dry bed feels good in the
morning!
Thank your for
your help,
Love Jamison

Dear Jennie,
It is with
much appreciation that we write to let you know that
Jamison's successful treatment has made him a happier
boy. He now confidently stays the night with friends and
attended a school camp. He told me the treatment was
worth it and that is all we needed to hear. He feels in
control now and it is apparent to our family.
We
thank you for your support and encouragement and for a
program that was the answer to our son's bedwetting
problem. We wish we would have done it sooner, but kept
thinking he would outgrow it. We are just glad we didn't
wait any longer. The success rate of the program speaks
for itself.
Sincerely,
Rich & Joan

This
letter is about Maria (18 years old). She has been dry
since we sent your our last ScoreBoard, ending August
30th. I think she's made it... finally dry!
Since we live in Puerto Rico and Hurricane
George hit us hard, although we personally had no great
damage, we were without electricity and water for about
7-8 days (there are still people without these
services).
I was really worried during that time
because obviously we had no way to wash bed linen, etc.
Thank God and thanks to you, we got through this time
DRY! Thank you so much again.
It took some time
and lots of effort - but I think we made it. This is the
longest Maria has been dry. If there are any relapses,
we'll be in touch, but for now, we are very, very happy
about this accomplishment.
Thank you so much and
keep spreading the word about how much you can help. I
sometimes thought we would never make it. We are so
grateful. Thank you again.

Helps Bedwetters Get Lives Back On

Dear Ann
Landers: Bed
wetting is a problem that has affected nearly 20 million
Americans. Over 90% of these cases can be attributed to
an inherited sleep disorder in which the child does not
wake up when his body signals that he needs to use the
bathroom. Allergic reactions to some foods can also
contribute to sleep and arousal problems. Bed wetting
can persist into adulthood if it is not treated. And
even for those who eventually outgrow it, the
psychological price can be very high. Is your child the
10 year old boy who can't go on his Cub Scout sleepover?
The 12 year old girl who can't stay overnight at a
girlfriend's house? The 16 year old who missed the prom
because he was punished for wetting the bed? The 18 year
old who is afraid to go away to college and sleep in a
dorm? The 23 year old girl who has met the man she wants
to marry but can't? The 35 year old man who has never
held his wife all night long? Ann, each day, I see your
picture and read your column and am reminded of the
thousands of enuretic families you have helped through
the years. Bed wetting is an ongoing problem. I am
asking you to help us continue our efforts to treat the
thousands of enuretic children by telling them about our
foundation. It would be a blessing for most families -

Dear Ann
Landers,
It is with much gratitude that I
write to thank you for your column on the Hargitt House
Foundation (H.H.F.). What a profound difference it has
made in the life of our child!
He is a very
bright, well adjusted 11 year old who had trouble waking
up dry more than once a week. We had no idea he had a
sleep disorder until we read the H.H.F. information, and
they described him exactly.
In about 3 weeks
time, he went from waking up wet 90% of the time to now
having 40 dry nights in a row! His confidence and
self-esteem have risen dramatically.
"Miss
Virginia" at H.H.F. was extremely helpful, supportive
and encouraging. To any parent out there whose child is
suffering the embarrassment of enuresis, please contact
Hargitt House Foundation!
There is help, there
is a cure, and no one should have to suffer the
humiliation of being wet. It is well worth the time,
effort, and money. Please continue to spread the word!
Thanks again,
A Grateful

Dear Ann Landers,
This is to let you know that your good advice
can reach people all around the globe.
My 9 year
old son, Joshua, had a bed-wetting problem. In addition
to all the other problems this caused (diapers, washing
bedsheets, no sleepovers....) what was most
heartbreaking for me to see was his deteriorating
self-esteem.
My mother (who lives in New York)
saw an article of yours where you referred someone else
with a similar problem to the Hargitt House Foundation.
I got in touch with them, and now after 3 months, thanks
to their friendly and encouraging help, my son wakes up
in a dry bed every morning!
Thanks for your good
advice.
Grateful in Switzerland,
Ramona
